Tik Tok . Job Description Possesses an understanding of sample
management processes and works closely with scientists and project
managers to ensure samples are received and transferred to frozen
storage in accordance with SOPs and study protocols. Supports
colleagues in laboratory operations and biological sample testing.
Develops independence in performing routine work and ability to
organize, manage and set priorities for multiple tasks. Demonstrate
the ability to document according to good documentation practices,
communicate observations and escalate issues effectively. Essential
Functions: Work in a cross-functional team to meet business needs.
Log shipments and receive samples for clinical and/or toxicology
trials, in accordance with priority and in accordance with SOPs and
regulations.Work with applicable team members to resolve any sample
discrepancies as necessary. Safely works with biological matrix
(e.g. plasma, urine, blood, etc) in a biohazard level 2 laboratory.
Document and maintain sample chain of custody such as shipment,
sample receipt and condition records per SOP. Manage the
maintenance/calibration of cooling devices to ensure all samples
are appropriately stored. Ensure alarms from temperature monitoring
system are addressed within expected timeframes. Support
bioanalytical testing through sample preparation such as tissue
dissection, solvent and reagent preparation, along with maintaining
chemical and reagent inventories. Support laboratory operations
with instrumentation such as deactivation, retirement, and
disposal. Performs work assignments accurately and in a timely and
safe manner. Performs self and peer review of the data for accuracy
and compliance. Ensure compliance with current SOPs and training.
Qualifications Bachelors degree (preferably life sciences related)
or equivalent years of experience required Must have 1-3 years of
sample processing experience in a GLP regulated environment. An
expert in the end-to-end sample lifecycle. Proficient with
applicable LIMS software. Proven ability to work autonomously and
develop ideas/solutions to improve operations Must have
demonstrated experience in cross-functional team environment
(specifically IT, Bioanalysis, Clinical Systems) Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements Ability to
understand and independently apply Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs)
to everyday work Ability to utilize Microsoft Excel and Word to
perform tasks Ability to use electronic laboratory notebook and
Laboratory Information Management System (e.g. Watson LIMS,
StarLIMS, etc) Good written and oral communication skills Time
management and project management skills Problem solving and
troubleshooting abilities Ability to work in a collaborative work
environment with a team Strong organization, attention to detail,
and multi-tasking skills Ability to lift boxes up to 20 lbs
