SALES EXECUTIVE - COSTAR REAL ESTATE MANAGER - ORANGE COUNTY, CA OVERVIEW CoStar Group is the world's leading provider of information and marketing solutions for the Commercial Real Estate industry. The Sales Executive will drive growth by achieving license and services revenue goals selling CoStar Real Estate Manager's tenant solutions to large private companies and mid-tier public companies that are real estate tenants in the market. To achieve objectives the Sales Executive will create and execute a territory business plan with the help of the Regional Director.--Key responsibilities include identifying opportunities, meeting with potential customers, gathering requirements, selling and differentiating the value of CoStar Real Estate Manager software products and services. The ideal candidate will have related domain experience and effectively work with Business Development, Contracts, Marketing, Services, and other groups to ensure their revenue success. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute a detailed business plan to manage and grow revenue opportunities for assigned customers in your territory and with new prospects in your territory.
  • Prospect, qualify, present and call on executives from multiple customer departments (i.e. - Corporate Real Estate, Lease Administration, Lease Accounting, Finance, etc.)
  • Understand the value of CoStar Real Estate Manager software products as well as competitive offerings and articulate features, benefits, and differentiation to decision makers
  • Gain command of CoStar Real Estate Manager's products for the new Lease Accounting standards and sell those solutions to companies' accounting and finance departments.
  • Manage existing customers - cross-sell/upsell execution and contract renewals
  • Leverage field and corporate resources to manage complex transactions
  • Have excellent communications and presentation skills; be competent with--facilitating--web-based--presentations/demonstrations and driving RFP responses
  • Be able to execute a traditional solution selling process that involves the cross-functional CoStar team and multiple customer contacts in decision making and influencing a solution decision.
  • Prospect and sell new customer opportunities, and manage and upsell new modules to existing customers
  • Work with existing service provider customers and alliance partners to cultivate new opportunities in your territory.
  • Manage the close process including the final contracts process in conjunction with contracts management and your Sales Director REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
    • Bachelor's Degree
    • Minimum of 2 years of proven, successful, direct SaaS software sales experience (this is not a channel or a reseller sales position)
    • Experience in solution selling that combines SaaS software and professional services implementations
    • Experience selling to large companies and senior decision makers
    • Strong analytical and quantitative skills and the ability to propose solutions to decision makers PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
      • Knowledge of the commercial real estate market
      • An understanding of, and experience in selling, CoStar products and services
      • Selling experience in the retail and/or corporate tenant marketplace
      • Real estate software solutions experience areas such as lease management, IWMS, lease accounting, project management software, etc.
      • Knowledge of, and experience in, finance and accounting applications and ERPs
      • Knowledge of basic accounting concepts and familiarity with accounting and ERP systems
      • Proficiency in the Microsoft Suite products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
