This position is perfect for a highly motivated and seasoned professional who has a strong background in the commercial, hospitality, and high-rise residential construction industry. If you are a strategic thinker, excellent communicator, and have a knack for identifying cost-saving opportunities, we want to talk to you! This role requires a minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a similar role and offers an excellent opportunity to work with a team of seasoned professionals on some of the most exciting construction projects.Responsibilities:
  • Prepare comprehensive cost estimates and bid proposals for commercial, hospitality, and high-rise residential construction projects.
  • Analyze architectural drawings and technical specifications to prepare accurate material, labor, and equipment cost estimates.
  • Interact with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to provide clear, accurate, and competitive estimates.
  • Conduct site visits and gather all necessary data to aid in estimate preparation.
  • Manage the bid process, including preparation of bid documents, solicitation of bid proposals, and review of bids.
  • Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure the most cost-effective execution of projects.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key vendors and subcontractors.
  • Continually monitor industry trends and pricing to ensure that our estimates are accurate, competitive, and profitable.
  • Participate in project handoff meetings and provide ongoing support to the project management team throughout the construction process.Qualifications:
    • Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Senior Estimator in the construction industry, with a focus on commercial, hospitality, and high-rise residential projects.
    • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
    • Proficiency in using estimating software and other industry-standard technology.
    • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
    • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and maintain a high level of professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proven track record of developing accurate and competitive estimates that have resulted in successful project bids.
    • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and technical specifications.
    • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Knowledge of local, state, and federal construction regulations and standards.
