Our client is seeking a Product/Data Analyst to join their team.
**Job Title: Product/Data Analyst** **Location: Irvine, CA** **Pay:
$44-49/hr** **Key Responsibilities** Product Management +
Understand and represent user needs. + Help define a vision for the
product. + Align stakeholders around the vision for the product. +
Help prioritize product features and capabilities. + Help create a
shared understanding across larger teams to empower independent
decision-making. + Understand technical requirements to provide
data and application solutions with our cross-functional / domain
leadership and stakeholders. + Demonstrate understanding of capital
markets expertise and product management responsibilities that
includes defining product success/KPIs, product MVPs/roadmap,
stakeholder/system impact, business with technical requirements,
product design, UAT procedures, product support, and product
retrofit/enhancement. Requirements: + Engage with appropriate
Product and Business teams to document requirements for business
challenges/opportunities, success metrics, risks,
stakeholder/system impact, data sources, data owners, data
workflow, and data rules. + Trace requirements to use cases/MVP
designs, and priority planning with the business. + Facilitate
requirement review with product/application teams and architects to
ensure requirements are ready for product design and build. Process
& Design: + Lead design-thinking led workshop/meeting sessions. +
Develop product design artifacts that may include conceptual to
physical data model, data analysis/discovery visuals, user journey
maps/personas, data validation plans, solution prototype
blueprints, business process maps, operating procedures, change
management plans, adoption strategy, and product support material
as needed. Testing: + Define clear testing requirements with user
sign-off from business and technology teams. + Coordinate UAT and
perform Business Readiness activities. + Engage QM, Area Leads,
Product, Application and Business SMEs to ensure requirements are
thoroughly tested and ready for production. + Validate requirements
deployed to production successfully. Data Analysis: + Using SQL or
Python to collaborate with the business and technical team to
investigate data gaps and opportunities. Translate data
analysis/discovery into a summarized leadership view for
communication. Data Quality + Define Data quality rules in
conjunction with business SME/data stewards and product team.
Ensure data quality rules are implemented and monitor during
product development. Coordinate with data governance for data
catalog related activities. Support + Assist in
resolving/escalating issues, recommending leadership decisions,
sharing early risks by engaging with business, developers,
architecture, and design teams as required. Project Administration
+ Assist Area Leads and Project Manager with developing formal
project templates/artifacts to capture stakeholder process handoff,
completion, and feedback. Our template should promote re-useability
and transparency with our partner. Communication: + Work to be
performed includes cross-collaboration discussion and frequent
reports with our front-office, middle office and back-office
(includes business, product and application teams).
**Requirements** + Basic applied knowledge SQL (T-SQL, PostgreSQL,
HQL) + Understanding of data structures / data models +
Understanding of Big Data infrastructure, technologies +
Understanding of Data Governance + Understanding of Data Quality +
Understanding of workflow management, scheduling, and orchestration
