A key element of UCI's strategic plan is to increase our research and teaching capacity to improve lives by adding an additional 250 faculty over the next several years. As a seasoned experienced professional with a comprehensive understanding of UC, campus, and unit academic practices, policies, and procedures, resolves moderate to complex academic HR-related issues affecting a broad range of academic titles in imaginative and practical ways. This position has the ability to work a hybrid schedule with some days on-site in Irvine and some days remote.

$71,300.00 - $83,600.00 (Annual Salary) Expected Pay Range with the Full Salary Range $71,300.00 - $128,700.00 (Annual Salary)

Required:

• Experience reviewing and interpreting University and campus Academic Personnel policies. Experience and working within the academic and administrative structure of institutions of higher education.
• Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.

  • Requires thorough knowledge of and ability to apply / interpret organization and college policies and procedures which govern academic HR. Thorough knowledge of organization and college goals, priorities and values and the legal and human implications of decisions. Thorough knowledge of systemwide and organization policies, union contracts, procedures and practices that govern academic HR administration. Knowledge of trends in academia, especially in areas of academic planning, human resource management and administration. Ability to analyze complex management issues, develop project scope and solutions, give professional advice to senior officials and make critical decisions regarding personnel. Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences. Excellent critical and innovative thinking to address moderately complex issues and present nuanced analyses.
