As part of Business Technology Solutions - R&D Information
Research (RDIR) team, the Senior Business System Analyst will be
focused on the R&D Aesthetics business technologies. The Senior
Business Systems Analyst will focus on providing technology
solutions for R&D Aesthetic business areas. This role will play
a key role on requirements gathering and implementation of projects
across the team. The Senior Business System Analyst will work
closely with business stakeholders and technical leads to
understand project deliverables and to manage end to end SLC
process to ensure complete documentation as per AbbVie SLC
guidelines. In addition to working with business and IT leads, this
role will work closely with vendor partners and development teams.
Responsibilities:
- Work directly with business unit clients to understand specific
business processes and needs, and opportunities for
improvement.
- Identify IT capabilities and information required to support
the business processes and collaborate in the development of
appropriate information management strategies, developing them as
an integrated part of the business strategy.
- Translate business requirements into functional requirements.
Produce and maintain required technical documentation associated
with work product.
- Refine conceptual system requirements into a technical design
consisting of job flows and program specifications.
- Investigate alternatives, which use existing applications and
make recommendations.
- Identify and implement process improvements.
- Conduct tests; develop preliminary findings for review by
management.
- In specialized systems effectively set options to change the
way the program works (configuration responsibilities).
- Provide system performance optimization, maintenance, and
production support.
- Build strong relationships with peers and cross functionally
and with partners outside of team to enable higher
performance.
- Embrace the ideas of others, nurtures innovation and manages
innovation to realty.
- Understand and adhere to corporate standards regarding
applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies, including code of
conduct, safety, GxP compliance, data security, and the software
development lifecycle. Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree plus 5 years technical experience, or
Master's degree plus 4 years' experience. Will consider 9 years
work experience in related technical roles.
- 4+ years of experience in a Business System Analyst/Business
Analyst role.
- Systems testing and IT Implementation experience.
- Proven implementation of creative technology solutions that
advance business objectives.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, with ability to
function effectively in an environment with multiple and
fluctuating priorities.
- Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
- Work experience in the pharmaceutical industry preferred.
- Experience or knowledge of the Clinical Development space
preferred.
- Knowledge of project management fundamentals preferred.
- Knowledge of Agile DevOps fundamentals preferred. Applicable to

- The below range is the range that we in good faith believe is
the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of
this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted
range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in
California. This range may be modified in the future.
- The salary range is (minimum: $74,500 to maximum:
$145,500.)
- This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentive
program,
- This job is eligible to participate in our long-term incentive
programs.
