Do you enjoy working on complex problems where in-depth analysis and evaluation of situations or data frequently require complicated negotiations? Are you a problem solver? This position is responsible for developing, negotiating, and administering major or highly complex and high-risk subcontracts, ensuring compliance on supplier cost, schedule, legal and performance criteria. Also, manages all material related issues pertaining to new program development and serves as the main focal point for varied outsourcing projects.Responsibilities

  • Provide ownership of purchased parts in support of on-time customer deliveries for assigned product lines.
  • Proactively identify risks in the purchased part value stream and mitigate those risks by working with product line stakeholders and the supply chain.
  • Actively interface with stakeholders including engineering, purchasing, quality, and supplier development to improve delivery performance and communication.
  • Develop and utilize suitable reporting and performance management tools to measure performance to goals and brief the business teams and executive management.
  • Provide critical purchased part updates and associated action plans to Parker customers with the support of the responsible business team.
  • Team with other supply chain functions to target and implement corrective action plans for suppliers impacting delivery to customers.
  • Perform supplier visits to identify and remove obstacles preventing delivery of critical purchased parts.

    • BS/BA, 10+ years of progressive experience in program management, engineering, or supply chain.
    • Strong working knowledge of MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
    • Knowledge of standard procurement practices, familiarity with ERP systems.
    • Strong interpersonal and project management skills; demonstrated ability to work confidently with engineers and all levels of management.
    • Must be detail oriented, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams, strong customer service and frequent customer meetings, and persuade/influence others.
    • Certificate in Purchasing Management (CPM) or Contracts Management, prior international subcontracting experience desired.
