Job DescriptionJob Title: Field Environmental TechClassification: Full-TimeWork days: Varies (includes weekends)ResponsibilitiesProcess and consolidate various chemicals, including bio-hazardous materialsLabel and organize containers in compliance with all regulationsInspect hazardous waste storage areas and documentationRespond to emergency situations when called uponClean facility as directed by clientAssist with shipping hazardous waste, including biological wasteAttend and maintain all required training necessary to perform jobPerform safe work practices involving chemical, radiological and bioactive agentsAvailability to work weekends and extended hours as neededSkills and ExperienceOne (0-1) year prior experience in the hazardous materials/waste industrySuccessfully completed HAZWOPER 40 hour and DOT HM-181 courses (must have copies of certificates)Clean Driving RecordAbility to lift 40 poundsAbility to pass a pre-employment criminal background screen, physical and drug screenKnowledge of the hazardous waste industryAwareness of compliance and safety regulations of the industryEducation and TrainingHigh school education or equivalentOther Information ACTenviro is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability/vets.
