ASP is hiring a Supply Planning Analyst for our Irvine, CA location. The Supply Planning Analyst will be a key member of the Global Supply Planning team and will be responsible for key activities to manage the supply chain efficiently and effectively. The Supply Planning Analyst enables the regional supply chain team in their Demand & Supply Planning, Sales and Operations Planning process and Inventory management.   • Purchase order management: create, issue, update and maintain purchase orders for manufacturing and external vendors
  • Perform product availability/estimated time of arrival (ETA) analysis as needed
  • Product allocation: Work cross-functionally with internal key stakeholders to allocate product
  • Ensure appropriate actions are taken to make sure there is continuous supply in case of a capacity constraints
  • Track and report fill rates and status reports across different teams
  • Communicate and track supply shortages/ potential backorders
  • Conduct and actively participate in various production sales inventory meetings
  • Specialty product management: analyze inventory; ensuring components of various pack out items are ordered and delivered on time
  • Create and schedule work orders building pack outs for special projects
  • Monitor inbound containers, adjusting receiving priority (hot containers) and coordinating internally to update status
    • Inventory Management
    • Manage appropriate finished goods/parts inventory levels by ensuring inventory and customer service levels are within targets
    • Review service and inventory levels on a weekly basis and take appropriate actions to meet business needs
    • Work closely with manufacturing and suppliers by mitigating service level issues/delays, backorders and informing the affected stakeholders with an action plan
    • Administer appropriate levels of strategic execution of inventory by working cross-functionally with internal key stakeholders to provide timely delivery of products
    • Monitor/maintain items on inventory reserve and non-sellable sub-inventories
    • Create scrap and return to vendor orders as needed Product Lifecycle Management
      • Partner with sales, marketing, manufacturing, and vendors for all commercial product launches by ensuring timely phase in and out of products without any supply interruptions and inventory obsolescence
      • Ensure correct master data & parameters are setup on time for new products
      • Proven analytical/quantitative skills are required and must be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel BS Degree in Computer Science, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or equivalent is required, although others will be considered depending upon experience. Must have a minimum of 1 - 3 years of experience in a Supply Chain role, and experience in Sourcing, Planning or Logistics. Demonstrates the ability to develop operating procedures/standard work and engage internal & external stakeholders to achieve the business plan. Project management skills, with the ability to influence decision-making, work effectively, and implement solutions in a cross-functional, team environment required. SAP experience is preferred. Must have a high level of personal initiative and ability to function autonomously with a strong sense of urgency, self-confidence, and comfort with new and rapidly changing situations and environments.
