Job Description:
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
As the Analyst - Asset Management, you will work with multiple
teams to drive timely completion of monthly forecasts, analysis,
and related deliverables for our hotel portfolio. This position is
responsible for Asset Management initiatives such as weekly STR
updates, monthly group demand analysis, underwriting ROI analyses,
and quarterly earnings call preparation. In addition, you will be
responsible for impromptu projects including customer sentiment
analysis, hotel management agreement analysis, and deep reviews of
operations key metrics.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Review and analyze financial profit and loss budgets, forecasts,
and month end financial statements.
-Work with the Sunstone Asset Management analyst team to produce
and report on month-end results.
-Prepare analyses derived from performance benchmarking of best in
class hotels.
-Learn to update and work with the Sunstone Asset Management
Hyperion System and extract data to derive analyses for financial
purposes.
-Produce ad-hoc and ROI analyses to evaluate the performance of
hotel assets and seek-out opportunities for greater efficiency and
better performance.
-Work with Asset Management team to analyze, read and understand
the sales and marketing reports, group pace reports, and STR
reports.
-Participate in monthly/quarterly meetings both within Sunstone and
occasionally at the hotel properties.
-Monitor, read and review all leases, management agreements,
franchise agreements, etc. to protect ownership rights and ensure
contract compliance.
-Develop strong relationships with key hotel-based accounting and
operations personnel.
-Develop strong intercompany relationships with other Sunstone
departments.
-Develop financial models to evaluate investment returns on
proposed capital projects.
-Participate in select hotel site visits and market tours to obtain
firsthand knowledge of our hotels, competition and demand
generators.
SALARY RANGE:
Very competitive benefit and compensation package for entry level
position that includes base salary and bonus potential.
