University Physicians and Surgeons reports directly to the Vice
dean of Clinical Affairs and the School of Medicine s Associate
Dean of Finance. We are located at the Medical Center with
occasional travel to the School of Medicine Campus. Our group
focuses on physician compensation, provider relations, physician
billing, physician contracting, and faculty workforce planning
The Principal Analyst works independently, under general direction
to perform significant complex and technical analyses to aid in the
financial planning and strategic management of the School of
Medicine. S/he independently manages a high volume workload and
insures the quality/accuracy of work product insuring that is
consistent with goals and objectives as expressed by Senior
Management for the School of Medicine. Assignments with broad terms
and general objectives will be managed by the incumbent in
developing and implementing the specific tasks and steps necessary
to achieve desired results. The incumbent utilizes strong problem
solving skills, knowledge, experience, and understanding of the
overall picture to clearly identify the best methods to accomplish
specific tasks. Analysis may extend beyond incumbents current
knowledge and experience, especially with new proposals or unique
areas, requiring the incumbent to be resourceful and innovative to
perform appropriate analysis. S/he is required to perform technical
analysis and utilize a variety of campus/school systems (e.g.
billing, DSS, SOM reports, etc). And to integrate that data from
multiple systems into meaningful information, formulate
recommendations that lead to decisions by management. Performs
independent technical/financial analysis supporting the Mission
based goals of Clinical operations within the SOM.
Annually: $68,500.00 - $104,350.00
3-7 years or related experience.
BS required, MBA preferred or equivalent education/experience.
Advanced knowledge of finance policies, practices, and systems.
Ability to identify, collect, and analyze information from multiple

information both verbally and in writing in a clear and concise
In depth ability to use multiple spreadsheet and database software
tools to gather information for specialized, complex financial
analysis, fiscal management, and financial reports.

AAMC and CPSC compensation and productivity knowledge.
Experience with developing financial dashboards.
Final candidate subject to background check. As a federal
