Corrects medical bill data errors, ensuring the timely and accurate reporting of Workers' Compensation medical bill data as mandated by state medical EDI reporting requirements.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Essential Functions of the Position):

---Performs data error corrections, retrieving state reportable data from medical bill and/or web applications, ensuring accuracy of medical bill data according to state mandated medical EDI reporting requirements.

---Monitors error correction queues and applies state mandated due dates to ensure medical data is reported in timely manner.

---Responds timely to internal staff and management requests for clarification or information.

---Assists and cooperates with co-workers, supervisor and management with respect and courtesy.

---Manages confidential client, financial and employee information with discretion and good judgment in accordance with department and Company guidelines.

---Demonstrates a dependable work ethic. Performs all duties in accordance with established Company goals

QUALIFICATION GUIDELINES:

These specifications are general guidelines based upon the minimum ordinarily considered essential to satisfactory performance in this position. --- Knowledge of standard medical billing forms (CMS-1500, CMS-1450/UB-04, NCPCP, ADA).

--- Competency to utilize Company software and proficiency in Microsoft software applications and a willingness to learn new systems as necessary.

--- Analytical and problem solving skills.

--- Attention to detail.

--- Effective oral and written communication skills.

--- Good organizational skills.

--- Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a team setting.

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

Typically, these requirements may be met by a combination of one or more years' experience in Worker's Compensation Bill Review with a minimum of six month's experience in medical EDI reporting.
