Position description
The UCLA Department of Art empowers students to reshape their
worlds through critical inquiry and transformative creativity. We
are creating a pool of candidates to teach courses in the Ceramics
Area of the department for the 2025-26 academic year. Members of
the pool would be called upon to teach lower division, upper
division or graduate students as needed and dependent upon funding.
Applicants must be able to teach in form construction
(hand-building and wheel-throwing) and surface design (glazing and
other techniques) and be skilled in the use of throwing wheels,
slab rollers, gas and electric kilns, and glazes and raw
materials.
Salary: Rank and salary commensurate with qualifications and
experience.
