Revenue Cycle Biller

LHH Recruitment Solutions is searching for a full-time Revenue Cycle Biller on a contract to hire basis for a client in Irvine, CA. Our client is seeking a Revenue Cycle Biller to oversee crucial tasks such as payment and collections. This is a hybrid position and candidate needs to live in or near Irvine, CA.

Responsibilities:

• Verify patients' insurance coverage to determine what services are covered and the amount of payment the insurance provider will make.
• Assign the appropriate medical codes to each service or procedure to ensure accurate billing.
• Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies or government programs, such as Medicare or Medicaid, for reimbursement (primarily commercial payers).
• Resolve denied claims by reviewing the reason for the denial and resubmitting claims with any necessary corrections.
• Record payments received from insurance companies or patients and reconciles them against outstanding balances.
• Send statements and invoices to patients for any amounts due after insurance payments have been applied.
• Follow up on unpaid bills and works with patients to arrange payment plans or refer them to a collection agency if necessary.
• Ensure that all billing and coding practices comply with federal and state regulations, as well as industry standards.
  
  Qualifications:
  
• High school diploma/GED is required.
• Experience in Revenue Cycle Management, required.
• Strong experience with determining insurance relationships and coordinating insurance benefits, required.
• MS Office Suite Proficiency, required.
  
  Compensation: $19-$26
  
  Schedule: MondayFriday, 8am to 4:30pm
  
  Job Type: Contract to hire
