Job Description:
Volt is immediately hiring Body Armor Operator for a local
leading organization in Irvine, CA! Full-Time Weekly Pay Benefits
As a Body Armor Operator you will be:Performs various assembling
and finishing operations associated with the production of
composite armor systemsPrimary Responsibilities include but are not
limited to the following:
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment (5s)
- Responsible for compliance with all company and departmental
safety policies
- Responsible for providing accurate data on all data collection
forms
- Basic understanding of material spreading tasks.
- Assist cutting table operator with kitting of cut
materials.
- Layup/Tile & Arrestor Bonding / DR-ADTX Bonding /Bagging
- Clean tiles and Arrestors with cotton cloth
- Assemble plates following OMS and/or engineering
instructions.
- Able to prepare autoclave bagging materials.
- Understand the bagging process and follow OMS
- Assist with loading and scanning of plates for autoclave
runs.
- Performs duties following all applicable safety & quality
rules.
- Spall / Heat Seal/ X-Ray / Final Weight
- Understand and perform the de-bagging process and follow
OMSBody Armor Operators must meet the following requirements for
consideration
- Able to maintain like products and organizes parts onto
carts.
- Able to pass a bi-annual hearing test and perform the tap test
process
- Fold/ Trimming and Foam application processes / applying Arpro
foam and kicker /
- Able to fold, smooth and trim nylon material using hand
tools.
- Able to fuse nylon materials using a hot knife
- Able to fine trim nylon materials when needed
- Able to perform final weight process and follow crate
serialization instruction
- Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals

- High School diploma or GED
- No previous experience required - successful completion of
training/probationary period.
- Able to read and interpret assembly instructions.
- Ability to acquire job skills and learn company policies and
procedures to complete production tasks.
- Works on basic tasks requiring limited knowledge/comprehension
of the function.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in both written and
verbal form.
- Receives detailed instructions on all work. Works under
supervision.
- Ability to master all Body Armor Operator I knowledge, skills,
and abilities.We have job openings on the 1 st Shift: 4:15am to
1:45pm OT as needed. Pay rate is $18.48/hr Volt is hiring
