The Sr. R&D Systems Engineer - Biocompatibility will support teams in the development of medical device products related to in house microbiology. They will be the biocompatibility expert for R&D group, develop strategies to improve test cycle times, author test protocols and find gaps in current R&D biocompatibility testing. This person will have direct testing activities with current and new suppliers. They will identify 2nd source supplier for biocompatibility testing of new products along with other related responsibilities as the projects progress in R&D.

Responsibilities

• Create Microbiology project plan and testing activities around testing for new product submission to Regulatory Bodies.
• Identify gaps in Microbiology and biocompatibility testing for existing projects.
• Identify alternate testing house for all biocompatibility testing to improve lead times.
• Largely self-directed, capable of meeting project goals with minimal supervision. Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology or scientific related field.
  • Minimum 5 years related medical device experience.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Teamwork and great attitude are required.
  • Reading and preparing technical documentation.
  • Experience with medical device design and manufacturing required.
  • Computer skills including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
    Inari Medical offers competitive health and wealth benefits for our employees. The base pay range for this position is $105,000 - $115,000. A range of factors, including location, skills and experience, will be considered. Actual compensation may vary.
