constellations.Terran Orbital is seeking a Senior Systems
Spacecraft Engineer to join the mission development team. This
person will be responsible for the architecture, design, build, and
testing of major mechanical, electrical, and software subsystems
integrated into small spacecraft to achieve high-fidelity
operational capability. We are looking for skilled individuals with
competencies in spacecraft design and operations, such as:Mission
AssuranceSpace and Ground communicationsCommand and Data
HandlingElectrical and Battery power systems managementSpace Flight
Dynamics and Mission OperationsSpacecraft PropulsionYou will join a
collaborative team developing innovative pico-, nano-, and
micro-satellite vehicle solutions for multiple projects and
programs. You'll be responsible for mission planning, requirements
management, vehicle sizing, system trade studies, interface
definition, and systems integration. You are expected to have the
ability and desire to learn, grow, and discover
continuously.Responsibilities:Working and leading in a small team
environment closely with hardware, software, mechanical, and
systems engineers to develop optimal solutions to complex
problemsManagement requirements to ensure proper flow-down and
traceability, as well as requirements verificationPerform system
and vehicle-level trade studies to balance risk, cost, and
performanceSupporting assembly, integration, and test activities,
including generation of build procedures and test
plans/procedures.Leading concept of operations development and
mission operations proceduresParticipating in team discussions
involving vehicle architecture and design for future
projectsRequirementsBS or MS in the engineering field with a focus
on aerospace or another engineering discipline5+ years of relevant
work experienceHighly motivated, self-starting, enthusiastic, and
able to perform duties autonomouslyFamiliarity with spacecraft and
launch vehicle systemsAbility to solve complex problems with a high
degree of innovation and effectivenessAbility to lead and motivate
project teams to ensure program successStrong understanding of the
Systems Engineering processSmall satellite or CubeSat experience is
