Job Description:
Job DescriptionSummary: This position is responsible for complex
and advanced loan documentation preparation necessary to underwrite
and close Multi-family and Commercial Real Estate loans in
accordance with policies and procedures as required by the
regulatory agencies. Serve as point of contact/mentor for all Loan
Administrators and assists in training new staff as
necessary.Duties and Responsibilities:
- Understand various Borrowing Entity structures and be able to
determine basic requirements and State filings for each entity
(domestic or foreign)
- Perform Borrowing entity documentation review, red flag any
inconsistencies for the underwriter's attention and obtain the
appropriate approval of exceptions to requirements
- Prepare and send the Additional Information Letter ("AIL") to
the Borrower notifying them of any additional requirements
- Perform the OFAC Review and ID Verification
- After receiving the signed commitment letter, verify the loan
system has been updated and the credit approval has been
appropriately signed off
- Review the credit approval and verify that all prior to loan
document conditions have been met
- Prepare Loan Documents specific to the Loan Approval terms,
including special documents for additional advances, earn outs or
hold back agreements and submits to supervisor for review
- Review signed loan documents for completeness, compliant
signatures and notary acknowledgements
- Review outstanding conditions and follow up to obtain missing
documentation
- Serve as point of contact for all Loan Administrators for
questions and guidance
- Assist in training/cross-training of department employees as
directed
- Promote and provide excellent customer service by effectively
communicating and cooperating with all internal and external
customers.
- Provide support in the acquisition of new clientele and the
maintenance of existing relationships; promote close working
relationship with clients and brokers

Education and/or Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree
preferred
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years of related experience required
- Lead or supervisory experience preferred Skills:
- Solid ability to comprehend, analyze and interpret information
regarding financial statements, tax returns, and lease agreements
for the more complicated, multi-family and commercial loan
transactions
- Expertise with business entity documentation including
partnership agreements, trust agreements, corporate documentation
and limited liability companies
- Expertise dealing with borrowers, escrow and title
required
- Must possess strong customer service ethics and team building
skills
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and produce in a high-volume,
deadline driven production work group
- Must be detail-oriented and self-motivated with the ability to
work independently
- Strong grammar and composition skills are essential
- Proficient in Windows applications, including Microsoft Word
