Job Description SummaryTo control, administer and maintain quality document control processes in the document control function at BDI Surgery Irvine, CA facility. The role is responsible for overall coordination of controlled documents, system administration, training compliance and record retention, which includes the management of records in the EDMS (Electronic Documentation Management System), LMS (Learning Management System) and JDE ERP system.Job DescriptionBe part of something bigger!BD is one of the largest global medical technology companies in the world and is advancing the world of health by improving medical discovery, diagnostics and the delivery of care. We have over 65,000 employees and a presence in virtually every country around the world to address some of the most challenging global health issues.Essential Roles: Serve as the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) and Learning Management System (LMS) administrator (e.g., maintain accurate users, assign passwords and privileges, update training requirements, etc.)Ensure timely, accurate and efficient preparation and management of documentsControl the numbering, sorting, filing, storing and retrieval of both electronic and hard copy documentsProcess Change Requests (CRs) through to final releaseMaintain Engineering Drawings, Raw Material Specifications, Manufacturing Procedures, Inspection Plans and other production documentation.Data entry and maintenance of manufacturing systems including Item Master, Bills of Material and Routings.Create change requests and update documentation as necessaryMaintain records in accordance with record retention policiesMaintain traceability of archive storage filesProvide all user levels with EDMS and LMS system support.Assign user training in collaboration with supervisorProvide training reports to managementSupport internal and external audits/inspectionsOther duties to support Quality Control as required and applicable.Education and Experience Requirements:High school Diploma or GED requiredExperience of document control in regulated environment.For certain roles at BD, employment is contingent upon the Company's receipt of sufficient proof that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
