SchoolTool leads the way as the most trusted web-based student management system in New York State. Designed specifically to meet NYS requirements and school districts, it provides secure access to real-time data and time-saving tools for K-12 school administrators, faculty, staff, and parents.
Our Product Training Specialist position is responsible for training and developing curricula and other related documentation for end users of SchoolTool.

Duties and Responsibilities
As a Product Training Specialist, you will be responsible for:

• Providing training to employees and customers on all aspects of our software across different training formats
• Maintaining knowledge of effective training techniques and be skilled in all types of training formats, such as classroom hands-on training, one-on-one sessions, small and large groups, and in-person or virtual sessions
• Developing and creating internal and external training materials, such as handouts, user guides, and how-to videos
• Keeping training content up to date with latest software releases
• Managing our library of training content
• Developing and publishing monthly tips, tricks, and other communications to keep end users up to date with all software updates, strategies, and best practices
• Being a resource to our Helpdesk by being a subject matter expert (SME) and in extenuating circumstances actively working Helpdesk tickets
• Monitoring the Helpdesk ticketing system for issues and trends, and collaborating with Leads to develop content to address identified training opportunities
• Traveling, as needed within NYS, to our customers' sites to provide in-person training
  Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, or relevant work experience
  • Minimum two-years experience designing training content, delivering training, and working with various mediums of content (i.e., PowerPoint, Camtasia, etc.), preferably in a K-12 environment
  • Knowledge of modern training techniques and tools
  • Experience in designing technical course content across various mediums
  • Ability to design and deliver training to address target audiences' needs
  • Outstanding communication skills and with exceptional public speaking expertise
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • Traveling, as needed within NYS, to our customers' sites to provide in-person training
