portals, we process nearly 200 million EDI transactions, consisting
of more than 60 million dental claims annually. PayConnect Service
Specialist Position Summary:The PayConnect Service Specialist is
responsible for managing, monitoring, processing, and maintaining
merchant services. They work directly and indirectly with financial
institutions, merchants, and other various resources to ensure a
high quality of service, enabling the growth of the department and
increased company revenue. The PayConnect Services Specialist works
with the Sales and Client Services departments to increase the
customer base, volume, and revenue for the PayConnect department.
They will assist with merchant education, including training and
coordinating applications. Through a thorough understanding of
different merchant pricing models, key responsibilities include
support phone calls for merchants, boarding applications,
trainings, and installations. What you'll be doing as a PayConnect
Service Specialist:
- Perform all administrative duties pertaining to PayConnect,
including client support with merchant phone calls, application
boarding, training and assisting the sales team with questions and
concerns
- Lead and coordinate ad hoc projects or processes as
assigned
- Be proficient with online tools, practice manager software, and
third party portal and internal websites related to managing
merchant accounts and boarding application
- Be in constant communication with Sales and Client Services to
ensure PayConnect applications and enrollments are being handled
correctly by each department and following protocol
- Analyze and interpret client merchant statements, understanding
different pricing models, rates, and fees.
- Follow up and monitor the initial set up/walk thru completed by
Sales and individual sales.
- Upsell all Connect Suites and increase the usage and activity
of current clients and house accounts
- Comply with all Federal, State, accreditation and institutional
policies and procedures
- Consistently meet company and department policies and
expectations including those surrounding attendance
- Exhibit exceptional internal and external customer service with
all persons with whom you work
- Maintain confidentiality at all times
- Observe security responsibilities including, but not limited
to:
- Follow all safety guidelines and responsibilities
- Utilize appropriate communication channels for the movement of
data. If using email, use the secure email option. If in FTP,
utilize SFTP or encryption of the data before sending. Send
messaging via application to utilized TLS protocols.
- Use minimum data necessary to identify transactions. Claim ID,
Claim File Upload ID, ERA Trace Number/Check ID. Only when those
identities are not enough for the recipient to find the
transaction, then use the minimum PHI needed to identify the
transaction.
- Security is everyone's job. Look out for, and report, anything
that is suspicious or just doesn't seem correct
- Other duties as assigned Key Success Factors
- Actively communicate when coordinating and/or troubleshooting
any issues involving our third-party institutions. Communicate all
issues to your team and manager.
- Coordinate and assist Sales Department with training and assist
with "closing" the sale as necessary when pertaining to
PayConnect.
- Prepare deliverables for management and Business Office when
required.
- Be knowledgeable in various practice management software
programs to be able to service and maintain accounts.
- Communicate successfully with team members and client,
receiving consistently positive feedback
- Regularly meet the productivity and accuracy requirements
established Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skill Set)
- High school diploma or GED. College degree preferred.
- Ability to apply broad product knowledge and sales skills to
mentor clients
- Excellent analytical, organizational and time management
skills
- Ability to coordinate and direct the work of others
- Ability to exercise a high level of tact and discretion in both
internal and external interactions
- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs and the Internet
- Capable of maintaining multiple projects at one time
- Capable of writing materials to be shared with internal and
external stakeholders
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal
skills
- Ability to successfully multi-task with accuracy in a
