Job Description:
Sells loan products offered by the Company by meeting and
calling on clients, referral sources, realtors, and business
prospects at their homes and places of employment or in other
social settings away from any Company office.This position is
classified as Outside Sales. Incumbents acknowledge that in
performing their duty they must, during each work week, be
customarily engaged away from the Company's office locations,
including a home office. They may not regularly conduct Company
business from their home. Their commitment is required to spend a
majority of work time each work week meeting customers where they
are, away from the Company's office, home office or other place of
business to deliver their services.EXPECTATIONSUtilizes knowledge,
training and experience to solicit and promote the Company's loan
products.Spends the majority of their time calling on clients and
business prospects.Analyzes customer circumstances for purchase or
refinance, plus their financial background, and reviews the
availability of all loan products that might fit their customer's
needs.Generates streams of lead flow from all available
sources.Contacts each new lead, manage the lead with the programs
provided, and quickly and accurately provides the information
required for the borrower to make a decision.Develops meaningful,
lasting relationships with each new lead and referral
relationships.Oversees the process of selling the loan product to
the client.Maintains strict compliance with regulations throughout
all transactions.Completes continuing education and licensing
courses.Stays up-to-date on changes in market conditions that
affect the Company's loan products.Performs other duties as
assigned.EDUCATION - REQUIREDHigh School DiplomaEDUCATION -
PREFERREDBA - Bachelor of ArtsEXPERIENCE/SKILLSAt least 2 years of
experience originating mortgage loansPrior experience working with
automated Loan Origination SystemsMust at all times be able to meet
any and all applicable qualifications and standards required for
Loan Officer Licensure under the SAFE Act. Must remain current on
any and all applicable registration, licensing and training
obligations required under the SAFE Act and/or any other state,
federal or local laws pertaining to Loan Officer Certification or
standardsMust spend the majority of your time engaged in business
away from the office (including home offices)Expected to close a
minimum of 5 loans per quarterAbility to determine appropriate
interest rate quote to customersAbility to apply investor
guidelines to specific sales situationsCurrent knowledge of
mortgage banking, all applicable laws, regulations and industry
standards, as well as all company rules, procedures and
policiesAnalytical skillsDetail orientedMulti-tasking and
prioritization skills necessaryAbility to work in a fast paced
environment under time constraintsAbility to organize and
coordinate projectsExcellent customer service skillsAbility to
adapt to change quicklyStrong interpersonal skills and must be a
