Position Summary:
The Office of Campus Social Work supports UCI students during
situations and crises that may be impacting their personal and
academic well-being, through short-term resource referral and
long-term case management. Services are available to the entire UCI
community at no cost. When appropriate, the OCSW acts as a
coordination point to promote collaboration among academic
departments, administrative offices and outside organizations to
facilitate students' goal attainment.
Under the direction of the Director of the Office of Campus Social
Work, the Department Coordinator is responsible for supporting the
daily operations of the Office of Campus Social Work. The
Coordinator manages incoming referrals and delegates cases to team
members. The Coordinator is also responsible for scheduling
meetings, purchasing supplies, and other office-related tasks. The
Coordinator maintains the case management database system by
utilizing features that support the workflow, record keeping, and
data management for the office. The Coordinator assists the
Director with surveys and assessments, including data evaluation
and report writing. The Coordinator creates and maintains
department marketing materials (e.g., website, brochures,
PowerPoint presentations). The Coordinator may be assigned other
tasks that support the work of the office.

$24.66 - $29.62

Required:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; Bachelor's degree
in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
Skill in interacting diplomatically with the public when faced with
demands or requests for action that are not in line with federal or
state law or University policy and procedure. Demonstrated ability
to research and write analytical reports. Outstanding
organizational skills, including ability to set priorities which
accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities
and carry out multiple assignments in a timely fashion when there
are changing workloads, competing requirements and deadlines, heavy
workloads, and changing assignments. Demonstrated skill in working
independently and following through on assignments with minimal
direction. Working knowledge of computer applications in a local
area network, including word-processing, spreadsheet, presentation,
database, and electronic communication applications, in order to
perform all administrative responsibilities associated with the
position. Knowledge of UC Policies and Procedures. Demonstrated
ability to interact effectively with students, faculty, staff, and
community members of diverse cultural, social, political, and
religious backgrounds and varied age, gender, sexual orientation,
and ability. Ability to build and maintain positive and effective
working relationships with co-workers and other stakeholders.

skills. Ability to compose clear, grammatically correct,
well-constructed correspondence, reports, and informational
materials.
Preferred:
Knowledge of student case management database system, Advocate.
Knowledge of PALCard, Kuali Financial System (KFS), purchasing
orders, travel, facilities management forms and procedures.
Knowledge of electronic medical record system, Point N Click
(PnC).
