CareerPosition Summary:The Division of Enrollment Management
represents the Offices of Enrollment Management, Undergraduate
Admissions, Financial Aid and Scholarships and the University
Registrar. These key functional offices support the campus goals to
recruit, retain and provide a first-in-class education to the most
talented students, regardless of background. The Office of
Financial Aid & Scholarships is a key contributor to student
success and student access in higher education, administering all
types of financial assistance for eligible students demonstrating
financial need, academic merit, and/or other merit factor(s). This
includes, but is not limited to scholarships, grants, loans, and/or
work-study programs.Working independently under general
supervision, applies a broad understanding of student scholarship
and aid program practices and policies to administer the campus
scholarship award process including, but not limited to portfolio
development, marketing, awarding, disbursement, fund transfers,
reconciliation, application process, authorize exceptions, and
provide individual counseling on non-routine, sensitive scholarship
pensation Range:$25.62Department Website:years of related

and / or equivalent experience / training.Working knowledge of
policies, regulations, and practices for awarding financial aid and
scholarships; specialized knowledge of particular programs. Working
knowledge of University policies, processes, and procedures.
Problem identification, critical thinking, and problem solving
skills; judgment and decision-making ability. Ability to interpret
policies and develop procedures to ensure compliance. Working
knowledge of advising and counseling techniques. Ability to
calculate financial aid with attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to address complex issues and provide suggestions and
solutions. Ability to maintain security and confidentiality of
information and records. Skill to coordinate and organize multiple
complex projects and tasks and manage competing deadlines.
Organizational skills and ability to prioritize work and meet
deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Active
listening skills. Possesses strong customer service orientation
skills. Strong presentation skills across multiple delivery methods
for a diverse array of audiences and audience sizes. Strong ability
to assess processes and implement improvements. Thorough
interpersonal skills. Skill to compose and edit written and
analytical reports to be clear, concise, and factually and
grammatically correct. Strong proficiency with standard office
software as well as internet and email applications. Working
knowledge of common University-specific computer application
programs. Experience using complex databases. Ability to define
specifications for database programming. Skill to communicate
effectively both in person and on the phone, to staff, faculty,
students, and members of the community. Skill to serve on
scholarship selection committees and appeal boards. Is prepared,
thorough in deliberation, patient, and sensitive. Experience with
traditional and/or online marketing.Preferred:Master's degree in
related area and / or equivalent experience / trainingWorking
knowledge of FAME, Student Billing System (SBS), Kuali Financial
System (KFS), Slate, and UCI Scholarship Management website.
Working knowledge of website design.Special Conditions
