Team Overview:

The HR team members are located throughout GAN's global offices in the US (Irvine & Las Vegas), UK (London), Bulgaria (Sofia), and Estonia (Tallinn) with potential additional offices as GAN continues to expand its global footprint. The HR department also includes the Facilities department, which has Office Managers in Las Vegas, London, Sofia, and Tallinn.

Job Purpose:

GAN is looking for our first Senior Global Director of Human Resources based out of Orange County, California, who will be responsible for the HR function worldwide (US, Europe, and future locations), except for the Talent Acquisitions department.

As the Senior Global HR Director, you will be a hands-on HR leader providing proactive and advanced business support and internal consulting for the HR and leadership/management teams. This role will partner with the business both locally and internationally on all HR aspects of managing human capital.

Additional responsibilities include designing and implementing proactive and scalable HR programs that support employee engagement and drive business results. This role reports to the SVP, Global Human Resources, manages the regional and global HR teams, and collaborates regularly with the Talent Acquisition team.

Description of Job Responsibilities:

M&A and Organizational Change Management:

  • Support the HR processes of all M&A activity and integration
  • Strategically plan and guide the HR integration of new acquisitions
  • Ensure the new organization and employee population gets integrated within GAN smoothly, including supporting culture and organizational changes
  • Support the integration of HR systems and processes
  • Support strategic/enterprise org development and change management initiatives

Learning & Development:

  • Build and own the Learning & Development function
  • Support the buildout of career paths along with training programs to support career development
  • Designing and delivering custom training sessions, workshops, and seminars
  • Consult with leadership on training needs along with technical solutions and tools

HR Strategic Business Partnership:

  • Guide and direct organizational design, development, and change management solutions
  • Lead HR initiatives designed to accelerate business results by building a high performing organization, people excellence model, and winning culture
  • Consult with leadership to develop creative solutions to business challenges
  • Build strategies for proactive employee relations to ensure healthy relationships and engagement with all employees; manage escalated issues as needed
  • Identify continuous process improvement opportunities and support efforts throughout the organization
  • Manage the global HR team to ensure day to day HR matters are dealt with professionally and in compliance with both processes & procedures and statutory requirements
  • Help lead the organization through critical change during M&A activity, current pandemic & beyond, restructuring due to growth, etc.
  • Foster a culture of open communication and positive employee experience
  • Build trust and handle confidential matters with high integrity
  • Handle critical situations timely to assess risk and develop effective solutions
  • HR policy development, interpretation, and updates as needed on a global and country-specific level
  • Ensure local, country-specific, and regulations required compliance training programs are delivered and monitored accordingly

Additional Duties:

  • Employee Relations, including working with internal/external legal department, fostering positive employee relations and HR practices, and overseeing new hotline website
  • Continuously develop and scale the global HR department to deliver strong HR services to the organization locally and globally
  • Coach and mentor the Directors of HR, to foster and promote coaching and mentoring between their team members
  • Ensure the team is working towards continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the overall employee experience
  • Support the HR Directors in the management of the day to day administration activities related to new hires, terminations, transfers, or changes related to the employee population
  • Global payroll, compensation, and benefit related functions
  • HR activities related to the annual performance review for all employees - including training supervisors on best practices in conducting performance reviews as well as goal management
  • Ensuring all local state, federal, and country-specific training is conducted and monitored
  • Confirm departmental documented processes are developed and updated periodically
  • Monitor and update handbook as needed by legal changes
  • Other duties, as assigned and applicable.


Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR Management or equivalent, a graduate degree in Human Resources or MBA is a plus
  • Professional HR designation (PHR), SPHR preferred

Work Experience Required:

  • 7-10 years of strategic HR Business Partner experience in a global and/or matrixed environment leading strategic HR initiatives
  • Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions
  • Experience leading/managing and/or working with organizational development and/or OCM strategy and plans
  • Proven track record of partnering, influencing, and coaching senior leadership teams
  • Experience in SaaS-based companies required, experience in the gambling industry is a plus

Skills Required:

  • Hands-on leader with the capability of linking strategy to day-to-day priorities
  • Strong proficiency in managing and leveraging human resources technologies as a strategic tool

  • Strong project management and ability to initiate, implement, drive, and sustain change
  • Ability to inspire trust and confidence at all levels
  • Strong communication (written and oral) at all levels including executive and leadership level

  • Adept in change management and capable of helping lead the organization
  • Highly organized, self-motivated individual who can work independently
  • Plans strategically with the ability to think ahead, prepare action plans to achieve results, and meet targeted deadlines
  • Able to work well under pressure and demonstrate agility
  • Strong knowledge of California employment law, CA department of fair employment and housing, FMLA, wage and labor laws, and other federal and global regulations.
  • Functions well in a fast-paced, innovative environment
  • Experience with handling highly sensitive and confidential information
  • Demonstrated ability to partner and collaboratively drive HR programs and initiatives globally
  • Well rounded experience and knowledge of the full HR function
  • Understanding of compliance requirements and audit controls
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite
  • Experienced with overseeing international HR teams
  • Given the global nature of our business, must be willing to work early work hours to engage and manage direct reports, along with supporting management and employees, in the European countries which are 8-10 hours ahead and with the potential of other countries being added to GAN's organization.

Travel Requirements:

This role requires quarterly international trips, once safe to do so, as well as frequent national trips to GAN's offices. Active passport is required.
