SWBC is seeking a talented individual to review and analyze origination and retrospective appraisals, BPOs, desk reviews, and field reviews for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with SWBC and regulatory guidelines to minimize collateral risk factors. The QC department Admin role offers opportunity to strengthen your problem solving skills and have interesting and different challenges every day and provide potential growth into deepening your Real Estate and Lending knowledge. As a QC Admin, you will be able to solve unique problems and learn about valuation as you contribute to the Quality Control Team. Essential duties include the following: Identifies the appraisals that do not conform to the Client Engagement Letter. Works with the appraiser to ensure the report is corrected and returned in an acceptable format, discuss with appraisers any shortcomings, and obtain revised reports. Follows-up to ensure the timely receipt of the amended report, and provides updates to the client on a daily basis. Identifies appraisal deficiencies concerning compliance to USPAP, SWBC guidelines, industry standard guidelines, and client Requirements to include: working with appraisers to correct deficiencies, guiding them through atypical scenarios, and relaying appraiser concerns to the client for resolution (as applicable). Completes the SWBC quality scorecard on each appraisal reviewed. Acts as a liaison between the vendor appraiser and the SWBC production staff. Serious candidates will possess the minimum qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or related field. Minimum five (5) years as an appraisal review auditor, mortgage underwriter, or related experience. Current Residential Appraisal or Real Estate License preferred. Working knowledge of on-line property databases including, but not limited to: MLS, Corelogic products, Metroscan, eNeighborhoods, Trulia, and Realtor.com. Working knowledge of FHA appraisal requirements. Strong analytical and organizational skills to perform multiple work assignments. Excellent time management skills and attention to detail. Excellent and effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficient computer and accurate keyboard skills in utilizing computer applications such as MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. Working knowledge of general office equipment such as phone system, copier, scanner, and the like. Able to sit for long periods performing sedentary activities. Able to lift up to 20 lbs. of files, supplies, documents, or other related items.
