Job Description:

A career in Sales and Marketing, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to focus on positioning a distinctive PwC brand in the marketplace and drive long term revenue growth for the Firm. You'll focus on designing, developing, and implementing communication programmes and media events to promote and sell the PwC's brand and services as well as contribute to and evaluating our pricing strategies in the marketplace. Our Marketing and Public Relations team is responsible for PwC's external media relations and social media strategy. As part of our team, you'll help with social media account management, media relationship management, and identifying new and emerging opportunities for the Firm.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:

Demonstrates thought leader-level abilities with, and/or a proven record of success directing efforts in understanding of media strategy at a national and global level, preferably with a professional services firm, a financial services entity or working at a public relations agency, and proven success in roles managing others to accomplish key objectives, including the following areas:

  • Setting and leading the external communications strategy and supporting campaigns for CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion;
  • Overseeing multiple external communications initiatives at the same time, including proactively releasing thought leadership to the media, working with spokespeople on media interviews, responding to unsolicited media requests, managing communications of in-person and/or virtual events, building and managing relationships with business leaders;
  • Helping reporters and editors to understand facts, context, the CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion narrative and key messages;
  • Highlighting knowledge of digital communications techniques, communications trends and industry-leading practices, with a focus on integrated communications strategy;
  • Leading, managing, coaching and developing a team of communicators primarily tasked with the day-to-day execution of the strategies;
  • Understanding professional services industry and it's business, realized through the successful protection and promotion of the brand via professional judgment and decision-making;
  • Providing counsel on if/how to respond to societal issues, working quickly to prepare and release statements, while prepping spokespeople to speak with media;
  • Understanding and accepting PR as a powerful and crucial business tool;
  • Maintaining smedia contacts at the national level within the diversity and workplace space, as well as proactively identifying additional reporter contacts valuable to the Firm and developing them across traditional media, such as top-tier print and broadcast, service, industry and/or geographic trade publications, and social media outlets, such as Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook;
  • Building and maintaining relationships with highest levels of leadership, with emphasis on managing through a high-matrix organization and service providers;
  • Being regarded as an industry-leading communicator, writer, and strategist, including utilizing writing skills to translate complex concepts into easy-to-understand, compelling messaging;
  • Showcasing experience in utilizing data to inform decision-making; and,
  • Managing on-going external communications strategy and driving change by collaborating with other Marketing and Sales professionals.
