Position -UV Ink Chemist
Amica Systems is seeking an UV formulation chemist to join our
R&D team for the UV inkjet printing market. The position is
located in Irvine, CA at our UV R&D laboratory.Individual is to
provide expertise and apply experience in formulation, application
testing, scale up, and commercialization of UV curable ink-jet
technologies domestically and internationally. The employee is
responsible for experimental setups, data collection, result
analysis, and supporting the company's strategic mission,
development vision and roadmap. Responsibilities also include
working in close liaison with other departments, printer
engineering team, sales, and client to facilitate efficient and
productive application testing and streamline the formulation
process to provide fast turnaround solutions for commercialization.
The employee must converse in the native languages of the country
where work is conducted, as well as know customer practices
(culture). The employee is going to take complete ownership of the
new product and is responsible for technical support.
This role requires experience and knowledge of UV chemistry, ink
formulation, testing and applications. Experience in developing
ink-jet UV inks is highly desired. Strong problem-solving and

BS Degree (required) or Higher in Chemistry or related science
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Demonstrate knowledge of chemistry, preferred organic, materials or
Minimum 2 years' experience with formulation of UV ink/ coating and
Familiar with methods testing performance/properties of UV
Knowledge of adhesion of inks/coatings on various substrates.
Experience of formulation of Inkjet fluids is an advantage.
Knowledge of pigments/colorants is an advantage.
Excellent leadership and analytical skills.
Multilingual: Preferred. English, Chinese, Japanese.
