Department: Information Technology/Information Security
The position of Chief Information Technology Officer is
established to direct, plan organize and control all activities of
the MIS Department and to ensure the effective, efficient and
secure operation of all automated data processing systems.
Design, establish and maintain a network infrastructure for
local and wide area connectivity and remote access.
Participate in vendor contract negotiations for all new computer
equipment and software purchases for the corporation.
Create a cost-benefit analysis as well as supporting a detailed
definition of data requirements and departmental workflows.
Manage the Information Security Program, IT Risk Management
Program, IT Vendor Management Program and Incident Response
Provide bank employees with top quality, consistently available
computer service, support training and maintenance of all computer
systems used throughout the bank.
Responsible for procuring, installing and maintaining all
computer hardware and software and all other products and supplies
necessary to keep computer systems operable and to fulfill
managements requests for computer support. Act as liaison between
hardware and software suppliers and bank management for
informational updates and problem resolution.
Create, maintain and enforce written policies and procedures
regarding all computer operations in the IT Department and
throughout the bank.
Compile and review records to determine department productivity,
quality of output and cost of service. Develop methods to
continually improve results.
Evaluate new equipment, software and processes continuously,
recommend changes as appropriate, and supervise their
Write department annual budgets and administer funds according
to budget approval.
Maintain security of all data proprietary to the credit union
and provide for the complete backup of all computer systems in case
of system failure or disaster
Perform other related duties as assigned.
(Will assume the responsibility of the following roles
temporarily/as need basis with the assistance of Executive
Temporarily assume responsibilities of Facilities Manager and
assist Executive Management with the oversight and day to day
operations of facilities and facility projects.
Point of contact as BCP/DRP Coordinator to assist Executive
Management with managing the BCP/DRP plan and testing and project
On an as need basis assist Executive Management with duties.
Provide project management for special projects as assigned by
executive management, such as conversions, M&A tasks, new
product development, etc.
Required: AA Degree
Experience: Minimum of 10 years in Banking
• Budgeting, costing and accounting principles relevant to the
jurisdictions in which the organization operates.
• IT services and related prices
• ROI measures and capital budgeting
• Awareness of the market and commercial environment
• Business continuity management
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with
management, staff, regulators, underwriters, vendors, contractors,
consultants, customers, and the general public
• Maintain confidentiality of company and customer
• Communicate clearly, orally and in writing
