Currently, we are seeking a Corporate Controller with a depth of
experience and knowledge in controllership for publicly-traded tech

Responsibilities Support all accounting and finance initiatives
to ensure compliance with Company policies, US GAAP, SOX and local
statutory laws and regulations.
Support all accounting and finance initiatives to ensure that
financial data is accurate, complete and submitted in accordance
with GAAP and Company policies within well-defined timeframes.
Support the accounting operations to maintain an adequate system
of internal controls and to provide reasonable assurance that
assets are protected and results are properly reported. Assist in
coordinating quarterly self-assessments and periodic tests and
ensure that there are no material weaknesses or significant
deficiencies in controls that would require reporting under the
Sarbanes Oxley regulations.
Provide supervision, mentorship and recruitment for a global
accounting team of up to 35 staff members located in the corporate
and remote offices.
Responsible for financial weekly flash reports as well as
dashboards and other accounting reports for the accounting and
various other departments.
Assist the VP Financial Planning and Analysis in the preparation
of forecasts, annual budget and monthly reporting metrics.
Lead the month-end and quarterly general ledger and financial
close processes with emphasis on shortening the length of time and
automating the final close. Delegate and monitor completion of
timely and accurate assigned journal entries and reconciliation of
balance sheet accounts to the sub-system and/or supporting
Manage all of the SEC filing requirements for a public
registrant in cooperation with the General Counsel.
Assist Chief Financial Officer in providing detailed, analytical
explanations for all significant financial variances (to plan, to
forecast, etc.) through the monthly quarterly and annual close
Develop and execute cross-training processes for accounting
staff to assure no lapses in job duties during planned and/or
unplanned absences. Document process steps in standard workflows
Develop and review financial reports and metrics with senior
management to assure business performance in in line with
expectations. Recommend actions for operational improvement as
Support the evaluation of M&A and other business development
opportunities including due diligence, execution/accounting for
transactions and integration of acquired businesses.
Act as the interface to the audit committee of the board,
providing support to the committee chair and taking issues forward
Provide leadership in building strong, scalable financial
systems, processes and control environment while assisting in the
implementation of a global ERP system.
Assist in the review of customer contracts as well as a variety
of other corporate and strategic legal documents.
Qualifications Must Haves
At least 4 years senior accounting leadership experience
(Controller, VP, CFO, etc.) at a publicly-traded technology
Strong leadership qualities including honesty, candor,
decisiveness and initiative
Strong presentation and prioritization skills, flexibility and
ability to multi-task
Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal
Knowledge of ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, Sage, Netsuite, etc.)
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Willing and able to work on premise in Irvine post-pandemic
Big 4 Public Accounting Firm experience
Knowledge in accounting matters around software of subscription
Experience with Oracle Cloud
Experience with BI reporting tools (Alteryx, Tableau, Power
MBA or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance
