Job Description:

We are interviewing Authorization Coordinator for our Irvine client's ENT Group for a temporary assignment. Authorization Coordinator assist with admissions paperwork, confirm medical coverage or benefits and answer patient questions. Ideal candidates bring solid medical industry experience, a dedicated attitude to ensure quality customer service and 3 years' experience in healthcare authorization. About the Position: Heavy phone activity, responding to voicemails and emails Verify patient's insurance Collect co-payments Explain benefits to patients Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion Audit existing insurance information to ensure accuracy Constantly communicate with various insurance carriers Notify insurance carriers of new, denied or open claims Confirm that insurance carriers are notified Ensure benefits, eligibility and authorizations are received Schedule appointments and verify benefits Track and document authorization statuses Work with other departments to have proper financial management Document benefits and eligibility information Act as a Financial Counselors to solve on-going problems Maintain an accurate list of authorized providers Enter data and detailed notes in clinical database Process requests that are denied, approved or deferred Perform general administrative tasks (copying, scanning, mailing, ordering office supplies, requesting visitor badges, etc.). Other duties as required This is not a comprehensive list of tasks associated with this position.
