Under the direction of the Department Manager, the Department
Assistant/Undergraduate Program Coordinator provides administrative
and operational support for the undergraduate program in the
Department of History, The History Project, the Minor in Armenian
Studies, and Minor in Native American Studies. Primary duties
include: advice undergraduate students, assist in the organization
of programs and events, assist in the coordination of the quarterly
Schedule of Classes, process general financial transactions
(reimbursements, purchases, honorariums), generate and reconcile
reports, research issues, maintain program files, and manage the
front desk. Must be able to work occasional evenings.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working
relationships with faculty, staff, students, and the public.
Ability to speak and write clearly for effective oral and written
Ability to compose accurately and proofread a variety of written
materials (email, letters, memos etc).
Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments
with minimal direction. Coordinate, prioritize, and organize
projects to accomplish an established objective in a timely
