This role is perfect for a detail-oriented, self-motivated individual with a strong background in civil defense litigation. You will be key in supporting our attorneys in a fast-paced environment, working on complex legal matters that require a high level of organization, attention to detail, and legal expertise. Responsibilities:As a Permanent Civil Defense Paralegal, you will be responsible for:1. Assisting attorneys in all stages of litigation processes including but not limited to preparing pleadings and motions, organizing exhibits, reviewing legal documents, and providing overall case management.2. Conducting legal research and factual investigation to assist attorneys in case preparation.3. Drafting, formatting, and proofreading legal documents such as motions, notices, complaints, and other pleadings.4. Utilizing legal software like BOSCO, FirstLegal, and OneLegal for case management and court filings.5. Coordinating and managing deadlines, appointments, and schedules for attorneys.6. Communicating effectively with clients, opposing counsel, judicial personnel, and team members.7. Maintaining an organized and up-to-date case file system.Qualifications:The ideal candidate for the Permanent Civil Defense Paralegal position will have:1. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in civil defense litigation.2. A paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program or equivalent.3. Proficient in using legal software such as BOSCO, FirstLegal, and OneLegal.4. Strong knowledge and understanding of the civil law system, court procedures, and legal terminology.5. Exceptional organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.6. Excellent written and oral communication skills.7. Proven ability to conduct legal research and draft legal documents.8.
