We are currently seeking Scrum Master who is responsible for the project management and leadership aspects related to project execution. Utilize a traditional or Agile methodology that encompasses a defined, systematic process for planning, directing, monitoring, adjusting, and controlling the series of related tasks that make up a project/program. Manage multiple projects that make up a program or large-scale project (team of 6 or more) and responsible for the success of the overall project/program. The individual is also responsible to assist in mentoring and coaching in the elements of project execution as well as assist in establishing, implementing standards, processes and procedures. Responsible for making sure a Scrum team lives by the values and practices of Scrum. This involves removing any impediments to progress, facilitating meetings, and doing things like working with the product owner to make sure the product backlog is in good shape and ready for the next sprint. Principal Responsibilities/Objectives: Scope Management - Work with the project team to establish an understanding and agreement with key stakeholders about the project or overall program requirements. Manage multiple projects that make up a large scale project (team of 6 or more) and responsible for the success of the overall project. Work with the project team(s) to divide work into manageable tasks, so that the cost and completion date of the project can be forecasted. Develop the baseline project plan/ charter and schedule and as necessary incorporate multiple project plans into one overall project plan against which the impact of potential scope changes on schedule, budget, and performance requirements is evaluated. Resource Management - Create the strategy and determine the procedures for timely and cost-effective acquisition, use, and reallocation of resources to provide quality products and services to the customer or users. Coach, motivate, and direct resources for successful project performance, working with the resource managers that directly manage the project team members. Assist with the coaching and mentoring of project management best practices. Analyze current Agile practices/processes, prioritize areas of improvement and work with key stakeholders to implement the improvements. Facilitate/participate in key Agile ceremonies across scrum teams. Schedule Management - Create the project/program schedule which incorporates multiple schedules into an overall project schedule that include all of the deliverables and resources that are required within the scope of the project. Evaluates the reasonableness of the schedule, ensures that work is accomplished, validates that resources are used as planned and update the schedule as the project progresses. Communication Management - Determine what kind of messages to send, who receives them, when to send them for optimum effectiveness and how to compose them, so all stakeholders understand the message. Monitors and actively participate in the communication activities to ensure that the effectiveness of the process is established and maintained. Create project status reports and metrics. Support the implementation of standards, processes and procedures. Risk Management - Examine the risk factors of projects and identifies specific risk items. Manage risks by taking action to accept, eliminate or mitigate risk. Create contingency plans to reduce related uncertainties and consequences. Managing, tracking and follow-up of action items, issues and conflicts as needed. A qualified candidate will have: BA/BS degree in a technical field. PMP and Scrum Master Certifications are a plus. A minimum of four years of related project management. A minimum of two years of scrum master experience. Kanban methodology knowledge and experience is a plus. Use and/or administration of Atlassian, Jira, Portfolio and Confluence experience is a plus. Software application product development and information technology operations to achieve the business strategy and goals. Demonstrated expert knowledge and experience of project management principles and techniques. Demonstrated expert knowledge and experience of Agile methodologies (Scrum and Kanban). Facilitate Sprint Planning, Backlog Grooming, Daily Standups, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospectives ceremonies. Use Agile metrics to track the Team and Release progress. Portfolio project management experience. Project, program and portfolio level resource management experience. Experience working in a project management office environment. Ability create and manage project and program schedules. Vendor management experience. Demonstrated ability to manage on-time, within budget delivery of complex projects in a stressful, fast paced environment. Ability to thrive and work in an ambiguous environment. Ability to multi-task and manage several on-going projects at various stages. Exceptional ability to present concise and accurate information to team members, staff, peers, vendors, customers, management and analytical skills. Ability to act as liaison between users/clients and the project team. Extremely well organized and detail oriented. Experience working with all corporate levels. Skillful negotiator and problem solver. Ability to work effectively within a team, resulting in on-time delivery. Excellent knowledge of PC based computer systems, including MS Word, Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.
