seeking Software Engineers for an internship opportunity. This
position will be located at our Space sector in Redondo Beach, CA.
The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s
Software Engineering Team within the Western Region Vehicle and
Software Engineering Directorate. Roles and Responsibilities
Design, develop, document, test and debug applications software and
systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conduct
multidisciplinary research and collaborate with equipment designers
and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and
utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and
commercial software. Determine computer user needs. Analyze system
capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output
requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and
controls. Prepare operating instructions. Design and develop
compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.
Ensures software standards are met Basic Qualifications A candidate
must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must: Be a
student who is enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or
graduate degree from an accredited college/university and will be
enrolled full time in Fall 2026 Be majoring in STEM (Science,
Technology, Engineering or Math) Be available to work full-time (40
hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2026. Be able
to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S.
citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access
within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to
meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
Preferred Qualifications: Have an overall cumulative GPA of
3.00/4.0 or higher Majoring in Computer Engineering, Computer
Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related
discipline Recent programming experience in one or more of the
following: C++, C, C#, Python, Java, or similar languages Intern
Pay Range: High School: $15.00-$25.25 At Northrop Grumman, our
internship pay rates are standardized and take into account three
main factors: the anticipated graduation date of the individual,
the cost of labor of the geographic location, and whether the
