Tracking Code 20131747 Job Description JOB SUMMARYDesign and develop embedded software for thermal management, ammunition handling systems, weapon scoring systems, and aeromechanical systems.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Requirement Analysis, System Design, and Architectural Design
  • Trade Studies and Risk Analysis
  • Requirement Specifications, Design Descriptions, Test plans and Procedures
  • Module design to meet verification and traceability requirements
  • Module implementation and verification
  • Lead and participate in code review and evaluation of code standardization.
  • Algorithm development, modeling and simulation using MATLAB
  • Ensure applicable regulatory compliance to the development standards
  • Review and improve existing systems for technological modernization.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree (BSCS/BSEE) -7-10 years experience designing and developing embedded real-time and DSP software in C/C++. RTOS development. Proficient performing requirement capture and analysis, design and test. Proficient is developing simulators and using test tools such as anlayzers and oscilloscopes. Extensive experience in version control and application life cycle development tools. Strong ability to serve in technical lead roles requiring cross collaboration with Systems and Hardware Engineers. Experience DO-178 certification and DoD Cyber Security accreditation processes is a plus.Ideal candidate is an open-minded team player who cooperates with colleagues as required. May work independently but will also have interactions with fellow engineers and members from other departments. -Responsible for reviewing specifications, procedures, technical documents, and drawings as well as enforcing standards, requiring the ability to critique in a constructive manner. TOOLS/EQUIPMENT USED ON THE JOB:Personal computer using SolidWorks, PDMWorks, ProEngineer, Excel and Word. Telephone. Copier.PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDSPosition involves sitting, standing and/or walking. Position requires ability to frequently exert up to 10 pounds of force to move/lift objects and occasionally exert up to 20 pounds of force to move/lift objects. Repetitive type job. Extensive sitting at desk reading computer screen and drawings. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand, stoop, kneel, reach or walk. This position requires that the employee be able to hear and speak clearly. Ability to work under time pressure is necessary. Willing to work long hours if required. Ability to work independently and as a team player.WORK ENVIRONMENT -The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Work usually performed in air-conditioned office environment. Some work will occasionally be performed in the shop. Shop environment contains hazardous materials, dust, moving equipment, pneumatic equipment, hydraulic equipment, and metal chips from cutting, milling, drilling and turning operations.
