Perficient currently has a career opportunity for an Sr. WebSphere Commerce Developer/ Architect with catalog subsystem experience in our National Commerce Practice in the United States and/or Canada. Job Overview As an Architect you will participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle which includes estimating, technical design, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment and support of application developed for our clients. This role must have expertise in eCommerce and Catalog Management in a B2B environment. Must be comfortable with client facing with good communication skills. Responsibilities Develop catalog load processes to automate loading of products from legacy catalog management system into Commerce DB2 and Oracle database. Provide architecture and development support on other areas of the HCL platform. Lead the technical planning & requirements gathering phases including estimate, develop, test, manage projects, architect and deliver. Serve as a technical lead and mentor. Provide technical support or leadership in the development and continual improvement of service. Qualifications Passionate coders with 8 years of application development experience with HCL Commerce (formerly IBM WebSphere) Version 7.x, 8.x, or 9.x Experience in the setup of Management Center for Catalog management, E-Marketing spots and promotions Client facing or consulting experience highly preferred. Experience with application programming interfaces (APIs) - Integration with Payment backend systems. Experience with Support for Globalizations and localization in multicultural site. Experience with conducting technical analysis and high level design. Skilled problem solvers with the desire and proven ability to create innovative solutions. Flexible and adaptable attitude, disciplined to manage multiple responsibilities and adjust to varied environments. Phenomenal communicator who can explain and present concepts to technical and non-technical audiences alike, including high level decision makers. Solid foundation in Computer Science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms and software design. Knowledge and experience in developing software using agile methodologies. Proficient in authoring, editing and presenting technical documents. Ability to communicate effectively via multiple channels (verbal, written, etc.) with technical and non-technical staff.
