Recommend viable solutions to processes, technology, and interfaces that improve the effectiveness of the team and reduce technical debt. Foresee capacity requirements for component usage and identify limitations. Responsible for providing inputs into story sizing, backlog grooming, and release planning. Contribute to product and solution designs to address critical issues and complex problems. Build software applications across multiple platforms in response to the needs of stakeholders. Understand the technical architecture and write software and automated tests that are aligned with agreed upon standards. Perform trouble-shooting efforts and investigations when necessary. Responsible for providing ongoing support, monitoring, and maintenance of legacy products. Actively work with less experienced software engineers providing technical guidance and oversight. Actively participate in the engineering community, staying up to date on new software technologies and best practices and share insights with others in the organization. Position requires a Masters degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or related and two (2) years of experience in the job offered, or related. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Bachelors degree and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience. Must have at least two (2) years of experience in each of the following skills: designing and developing highly scalable backend applications in .Net and .Net Core; designing and developing customer facing frontends in Javascript, JQuery, and React framework; development experience in AWS SDK, Elastic Beanstalk, ElastiCache, S3, Lambda, SQS Cognito, CodeBuild and AWS cloud-native architectures; Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, PostgreSQL, GitHub, AWS Aurora, and DynamoDB; developing APIs, Microservices and CICD pipelines; Agile development environment; and Migrating legacy on-prem applications to AWS.
