We are seeking a Payroll Specialist who will be focused on managing, executing and prioritize payroll actions.If your ideal job is working on a computer, processing HR tasks, running reports, organizing data in MS Excel, solving problems and fielding the occasional phone call, this position may be the perfect fit for you.The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detailed oriented, self-motivated, conscientious, and hard-working.What You Will Be DoingKey Responsibilities Will Include The Following, And MoreOversee maintenance of payroll records and files including but not limited to, Longevity, PTO, sick leave, and other accrued leave.Receive, organize, and prepare all necessary data to process semi-monthly payroll and commission payroll.Prioritize work to enable payroll to be processed accurately, on-time and efficiently.Perform daily payroll department operations including collection and verification of time sheets, resolution of all timecard exceptions, creation of payroll import spreadsheets and pay and time off pay data batches.Reconcile employee changes, retroactive and prorated pay, active employees without pay, automatic pay cancellations, unused deductions, and payroll registers prior to payroll transmission to validate payroll accuracy.Engage in ongoing communication with each Dealership when they submit their payroll, providing coaching, support, education and training for managers.Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, identify trends, and make recommendations on process improvements.Issue and document manual checks as necessary.Post payroll GLs and maintain account mapping in GL interface.Prepare 401k deferrals and reconcile 401K account.Validate earnings and taxes by routine reconciliation of wage and tax registers to 941 filings, verifying state unemployment tax rates, reviewing, and approving W2 previews and so forth.What You Need for this PositionKey QualificationsAuto dealership payroll and or accounting experience a plus.Proficiency in ADP WorkforceNow, including creating custom reports would be highly applicable experience.Industry software experience like Dealer Track or CDK/ADP Drive would be highly applicable experience.Strong PC skills including proficiency in Excel at an intermediate level, pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.Demonstrated knowledge of wage, hour, tax and similar laws and/willingness to learn/seek ongoing knowledge to ensure compliance and implement necessary changes.Wage Garnishment Experience Preferred.Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material.Position requires both work in a team environment and with a collaborative approach as well as self-directed work.Must be self-motivated, excel in deadline management and be confident working independently.Professional verbal and written communication skills.So, if you are a Payroll Specialist - Auto dealership, Commissions, Excel with experience, please apply today!Email Your Resume In Word ToLooking forward to receiving your resume through our website and going over the position with you.
