seeking to fill multiple On Call Prep Cook positions to join our
professional family! We need to fill shifts every day of the week
but most of our events are on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays!
Whatever your availability, we may have a spot for you! The
foundation of the cuisine produced at The Wild Thyme Company
kitchen relies heavily on the chef and the assistance from the
cook. The prep done at the commissary is the base for the success
of our events. This position is responsible for assisting the Chefs
and Sous Chef. The key responsibilities of this position include
but are not limited to: 1. Following instructions from the chef
on-duty and completing prep lists in a timely manner. 2. Using and
following our standardized recipes. 3. Checking in with the chef
on-duty to ensure recipes are prepared to our standards through
quality checks and taste tests. 4. Being aware of waste as you
prep. 5. Reporting product shortages or needs to a manager on-duty.
6. Properly labeling and dating all food items stored hot or cold.
7. Ensuring food going out to events is properly labeled with event
code/number and quantity. 8. Holding/storing foods in proper safe
temperatures. 9. Keeping your workstation clean and organized. 10.
Ensuring and maintaining an organized walk-in and freezer. 11.
Following all safety standards and reporting dangers to a manager.
12. Attending trainings when available and participating in active
cleaning projects. 13. Working in production and on events when
needed. Education/Vocational Experience We are hiring for multiple
positions at all different skill sets. Pay Non-Exempt hourly pay
ranging from $17 - $20/hour, depending on experience. Room for
growth to the Event Chef position. Benefits include Flexible hours,
