to have you on our team! About the role: We are seeking a
compassionate, skilled, and dedicated Veterinary Technician to join
our team. The ideal candidate is a quick thinker, thrives under
pressure, and has experience in Emergency Care and/or Internal
Medicine. This position will float between ER and Internal Medicine
departments. ER Duties: - Triage and Assess: Prioritize incoming
patients and assess their condition. - Emergency Care: Provide
treatments, assist with CPR, wound care, fluids, and surgery prep.
- Diagnostics: Perform bloodwork, urinalysis, imaging, and other
essential tests. - Patient Monitoring: Track vitals, document
changes, and respond to needs promptly. - Medication & Anesthesia:
Administer medications, assist with anesthesia, and ensure safe
recovery. - Client Communication: Update pet owners and provide
clear discharge instructions. - Maintain Supplies & Records: Stock
equipment, maintain cleanliness, and document care. Internal
Medicine Duties: - Assist with advanced diagnostics such as
endoscopy, ultrasound, and specialized lab tests. - Prepare and
monitor patients for procedures including scopes and biopsies. -
Manage complex medication protocols and infusion therapies. -
Support veterinarians in diagnosing and treating chronic or
multi-system conditions. - Provide compassionate care for
hospitalized patients requiring long-term monitoring. - Educate
clients on treatment plans, follow-up care, and ongoing management.
Qualifications: - Certification: RVT preferred but not required -
Experience: 1-2 years in veterinary or emergency care - Comfortable
floating between departments when needed - Comfortable with
anesthesia, scopes, and assisting in emergency surgery Compensation
and Schedule: - Pay Range: $26 - $32/hr. - RVT $28.00-$32.00
Veterinary Assistant $26.00- 28.00 - 4/10 hr shifts Benefits: -
