Traveler is hiring an experienced Oncology RN Nurse Navigator for
an ambulatory oncology clinic in California, requiring a CA RN
license and strong oncology experience. Responsibilities -
Ambulatory oncology clinic setting supporting newly diagnosed
breast cancer patients - Day shifts, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM
to 4:30 PM - Works with breast medical, surgical, and radiation
oncology new patients - Uses Pyxis medication system and Epic
documentation system - Provides teaching, referrals, and identifies
barriers to care for patients - 80 hours of orientation provided -
Acts as a nurse navigator to guide breast cancer patients through
multimodality therapy and complex care needs - Supports
coordination of care including teaching, referrals, and patient
education - Interpretation services available for provider support
- Preferred skills include lab result interpretation, patient
teaching, referrals, telephone triage, and follow-up calls -
Charcoal grey or Caribbean blue scrubs required (not provided) -
Flu vaccine or signed declination form required during flu season
(October-March) - First-time travelers are welcome to apply -
Travel pairs are allowed - Locals within a 75 mile radius
considered at local rate Requirements - Active CA RN license in
hand at submission (no pending or EMSA accepted) - Bachelor of
Science in Nursing (BSN) required - Minimum 3 years of recent
oncology RN experience - Current BLS and OCN certifications
required - Oncology experience required - Chemo certification
required unless working in phone triage or case manager roles -
Experience with Epic EMR required - Former employees are not
