Infection Preventionist RN at Providence Health and Services summary: The Infection Preventionist RN is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating infection prevention programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements across healthcare facilities. This role involves infection control surveillance, education, consultation, quality improvement, and reporting statistical data related to infection control. The position requires a registered nursing license, experience in infection control, and strong competency in clinical safety and quality assurance within healthcare settings. Description The Infection Control Coordinator is responsible for infection control surveillance, consultation, education, regulatory agency compliance, quality control and quality/performance improvement for St Joseph Heritage Healthcare, Statewide. Responsible for planning, developing, directing, implementing, and evaluating the infection prevention program and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Or Associate’s Degree of Nursing with enrollment in a BSN program to be completed within 2 years. Upon hire: California Registered Nurse License Experience in Infection Control. 5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse including both areas of ambulatory care and acute care nursing.
