This role is ideal for a dependable OR nurse with at least one year of perioperative experience in a variety of surgical specialties. The facility is equipped with advanced surgical technology and values safe, high-quality, patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities: - Provide direct patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures in the operating room - Support a wide range of surgical cases including: - General Surgery:Appendectomy, Cholecystectomy, Colon Resection, Hernia Repair, Thyroidectomy - Gynecology:Hysterectomy (abdominal/vaginal), Tubal Ligation, D&C, Anterior/Posterior Repairs - Orthopedics:Arthroscopy, Open/Closed Fracture Reductions, Total Joint Replacements - Urology:Cystoscopy, Prostatectomy, TURP - Follow hospital infection control protocols and maintain sterile field standards - Handle and label surgical specimens appropriately - Ensure patient safety by adhering to Universal Protocols including Time Out procedures - Operate specialized equipment such asCell Saver, and maintain safety standards related toradiation,laser, andblood product administration Required Qualifications: - Minimum Experience:1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience - Licensure:Active California RN license (pending licenses not accepted) - Certifications Required: - BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association - Charting System:Experience withEpicpreferred Facility Highlights: - Facility Type:Acute Care Hospital - Designation:Magnet Recognized - Total Staffed Beds:377 - Parking:Free on-site parking available Additional Information: - Start Date:ASAP - Local Candidates:Accepted - Time Off Requests:Must be submitted at the time of application - Orientation:Details to be provided upon onboarding This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented Operating Room RN to work in a collaborative and innovative surgical environment with no call or weekend requirements.
