Another Source's client, University of California, Irvine, is recruiting a Development Director to lead development programs for UCI Health's School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. This role will have hybrid flexibility, working in office 2 days per week. This is a great opportunity to bring your fundraising and leadership skills to a campus rich in history and tradition. Here is more about University of California, Irvine and the position they are recruiting for: Founded in 2020 and the first public pharmacy school in the Los Angeles-Orange County region, t he UCI School of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences spans a continuum from discovery, development, and delivery of new drugs, devices, and diagnostics all the way to optimizing medication therapy in patients and patient populations. The UCI School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences encompasses two departments: Pharmaceutical Sciences and Clinical Pharmacy Practice. The mission of the UCI School of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences is to be a driving force for the advancement of health and wellness of individuals and society. We believe that plurality of experiences, accomplishments, and values leads to greater innovation and creativity. The Director of Development is a fundraising professional who works collaboratively with the Executive Director of Development, College of Health Sciences and University Advancement (UA) colleagues to lead specific development programs for UCI Health's School of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences, securing significant philanthropic investments to support these areas. The primary activity of the Director of Development is externally focused to secure private philanthropic support by identifying new donor prospects through researching background information on potential donors and developing materials, marketing plans, and organizing related programs / events; cultivates, stewards, and may solicit donor prospects. The expected pay range for this position is $95,000- 130,000 per annum. - What you will be doing:

  • Plan, organize, and direct large-scale, fundraising campaigns .
  • Write proposals for solicitation of individual, corporate, and / or foundation prospects. -
  • Analyze needs and assists in the creation of strategic plans for fundraising and other advancement programs. -
  • Ensure that predetermined fundraising goals are met and implements program activities to achieve these goals. -
  • Recruit, train, and support key volunteers who assist in advancement efforts. -
  • Attend functions, meetings and serve on internal / external committees as a representative of the School of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences. -
  • Participates as a member of the UA constituent development team, in development activities on a campus level and serve as a resource to other unit-based development colleagues about UCI Health's fundraising opportunities. -
  • Proactively manage a portfolio of individual, corporate, and foundation prospects, developing and executing prospect strategies leading to solicitation and philanthropic investment at levels of at least $25,000 . What we would like to see from you:
    • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years professional fundraising experience, preferably in an academic medical setting.
    • Advanced knowledge of all aspects of fundraising, donor relations, and public relations concepts, principles, procedures, and techniques. -
    • Advanced written, oral and interpersonal communication skills, including political acumen, to establish and maintain good working relationships throughout the organization and with outside constituencies. Ability to make persuasive and compelling presentations of goals and objectives for a location in order to secure gifts. -
    • Advanced organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills, including skill in creative and effective decision-making and problem identification / avoidance / resolution, and strong project management skills. -
    • Ability to prepare complex and detailed proposals and related materials. -
    • Demonstrable experience in stewardship plans leading to additional investments.
