ensure KMA compliance with After Sales government (NHTSA, EPA and
CARB) regulations of a vehicle distributor regarding recall
activity and TREAD reporting requirements. Major
ResponsibilitiesPriority Major Responsibility % 1st Responsible for
Recall / Service Campaign Coordination and Fulfillment. Assist
Government Affairs Manager/Administrator to determine launch
schedule and parts availability. Prepare and manage distribution of
campaign documentations such as Summary, Parts & Service Manager
Letter, Customer Letter, Questions and Answers, Region
Pre-Notification and 573 Notice for NHTSA. Direct the coordination
between the print vendor(s) and IHS Markit (formerly R.L. Polk) to
meet the target mailing dates. Review and verify all POs and
invoices for data searches and document fulfillment activities and
process them in SAP in a timely manner. Ensure to post all
pertinent documents & information to K-Dealer, AS400, and the NHTSA
Portals. Ensure the preservation of Campaign response records while
remaining in compliance with government retention requirements.
Prepare and ensure timely distribution of Recall Status Update to
all stakeholders for review of recall completion rate. 45% 2nd
Responsible for acting as the TREAD/EWR Administrator for Legal
Department. Will be in charge of pulling all of the legal cases
from ONIT and the CA Database each quarter, reviewing the cases and
determining what needs to be reported under TREAD/EWR. Create TREAD
Reports for each case to be reported for manager's review and
timely submission of reports within the regulations. 20% 3rd Create
and prepare Monthly and/or Quarterly Reports for NHTSA, EPA and
CARB in compliance with government requirements. Continuously
review the current process of monthly / quarterly reporting for
possible improvement systematically. 20% 4th Create and provide
various miscellaneous reports relating to vehicle and campaign data
as requested by managers. Continuously monitor and report regularly
the campaign completion status and trend so that manager can
determine the timing of campaign renotifications. 15%
Education/Certification* BA/BS degree in Engineering, Automotive
Technology or equivalent combination of education and experience is
required.Overall Experience* Minimum 5 years of experience required
in automotive industry positions such as Service Engineer, Customer
Service, Training Center, Technical Compliance, Parts & Warranty,
Etc.Directly Related Experience* Experienced with vehicle technical
compliance issues (i.e., TREAD, Recall and Federal Motor Vehicle
Safety Standards) Other Requirements:* Schedule(s) may vary due to
needs of the business including but not limited to working outside
of normal business hours, travel, weekends and/or holidays.*
Perform other duties as assigned.SkillsAutomotive technical
knowledge - body, chassis, power train, brakes, electrical, safety
system.Professional manner required to represent the company to
government agencies as well as other companies.Exceptional written
skills needed to prepare clear and concise documents and
reports.Excellent oral communication skills are required.Must be
familiar with Standard PC Software such as Word documents, Excel
spreadsheets and PowerPoint Presentations.Must be familiar with the
SAP functions to create, process and receive
