Join Union Bank, where being inspired is expectedand creating results is rewarded.?Job Summary: ?The Sr.Solutions Consultant role offers a unique opportunity to blend practitioner orconsulting experience in purchasing, accounts payable, and accounting withsales acumen, process improvement, commercial card and payments productsexpertise. The Sr. Solutions Consultant will enhance the commercial card salesprocess by partnering with Treasury Relationship Managers, Card AccountManagers and clients, and will serve as a liaison between Product Management,Technology, Commercial Card Onboarding and Vendor Enablement partners. The Sr.Solutions Consultant is responsible for uncovering opportunities withinclient?s purchasing and payables processes to improve operational efficienciesand/or working capital by leveraging the full spectrum of commercial card andpayables solutions.??They will lead solution design sessions withclients to include process design of accounting, reporting and technicalrequirements, supplier engagement strategy ? including payment termnegotiations, and stay engaged throughout implementation. Solutions Consultantwill work with Card Account Managers and existing Card program clients tooptimize and grow programs.?Major Responsibilities: ?

  • JoinTreasury Relationship Managers and Card Account Managers in discussions withprospects or clients in order to validate the business needs, architect thesolution set and present the offering.
  • Engageclient to understand current and future needs to sell solutions that ensureclient satisfaction.
  • Leverageinternal resources, industry knowledge and personal experience to identifyaccount expansion opportunities.
  • Assist TRM,CAM and TA to prepare RFP?s, proposals and presentation materials for prospectsand customers.
  • Performspend data analysis including demand fulfillment channels, and provide insightsto clients and TRM?s around opportunities to improve processes and introducecards into the purchasing channels and leverage E-Payables tools to grow spend,rebate and working capital access.
  • Collaboratewith internal and external/vendor partners to develop and drive specific clientacquisition strategies, with a particular focus on larger opportunities andE-Payables adoption.
  • Maintainindustry knowledge and expert status; remain current with internal and externalproduct development and innovations.
  • Manage anddrive the dissemination of client insights, competitive information, solutionenhancement requests and solution updates to appropriate internal and externalstakeholders.
  • Manage thesales pipeline for your assigned segments/industry verticals, keeping pulse onopportunities activities and stages; report as needed to internal leadershipand vendor partners
  • Ensuresharing and implementing of best practices across the Transaction Banking salesorganizations
  • Work withthe Implementation and Vendor Enablement teams to provide guidance andconsultation in delivering the proposed solution and vendor enablement strategyproperly.
  • Experiencein procurement, category management, process design, materials management,effective sourcing, contract negotiation and deployment of commercial cardproducts strongly desired.Qualifications:Additional Information: ?
    • Positionprefers a degree from a four-year college (e.g. B.A., B.S.) or equivalent work experience,MBA preferred
    • 10+years of experience in corporate purchasing, accounts payable, cardadministration, card issuer sales, implementation or consulting In-depthknowledge of operational working capital processes and impacts on organizations
    • Experienceworking with large scale ERP, Accounting and Procurement software packagesWorking knowledge of advanced outside sales and marketing techniques, banklending policies and practices, bank operations and services, federal and statebanking regulations
    • VendorRisk Management, CRM, Core Banking systems knowledge
    • Proficientin multiple standard business software applications including Business Object,MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Project Ability to quicklyestablish rapport, credibility, trust, and respect throughout the organizationand viewed as a team player??
