As Chief Digital Officer (CDO), responsibilities will include defining and delivering Tillys Digital Commerce vision by executing an industry leading, next generation branding and marketing strategy to shape the overall Tillys brand.

The Chief Digital Officer will help the company drive growth by converting traditional businesses to digital ones, and oversee operations in the rapidly changing digital sectors like mobile applications, social media and related applications, virtual goods, as well as web-based information management and marketing.

The CDO will be not only a digital expert, but also a seasoned general manager. As the role is transformational, the CDO will be responsible for the adoption of digital technologies across the entire business. As with most senior executive titles, the responsibilities will be set by the organization's board of directors and Chief Executive Officer. The CDO is responsible for digital consumer experiences across the entire enterprise and all our operations.

The CDO will direct the development and revisions to policies and procedures for the general operation of the enterprise digital strategy and related activities. Some of the responsibilities of this role include: Earning company-wide commitment - Get everyone on board with the digital vision. Developing a digital strategy mission statement – CDO will be responsible for end-to-end strategy, design and implementation of the company's digital roadmap. Creating the bridge between data and the business operations - the CDO focus is the relationship between the data and the customer. Maintaining links with experts. Maintaining a balance between business and technology. Connecting digital investments to enterprise KPIs in order to achieve positive digital transformation. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Works with the Executive Management team to define the corporate e-commerce strategy. Change future division strategies in-season where needed and provide appropriate and timely direction to the cross functional team in order to react quickly to customer and business trends. Analyzes and assesses the effectiveness of all existing operations and current needs based on new technology and market competition. Works with the Business Units to improve, develop and advocate new promotional opportunities for Tillys products and services. Develops business plan and annual budget for e-commerce function. Supervises development efforts including content design and update. Identify and communicate opportunities and liabilities to the e-commerce team to provide a positive impact on sales, margin and turns. Acts as a liaison between departments and outside vendors for development and maintenance of the web site. Oversees the day-to-day e-commerce operations, maintenance, and performance measurement of the company web site (internet and intranet). Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Tillys policies including planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance under Tillys Rewards Program; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems. Develop and gain approval for department seasonal strategies and prioritize tasks to support division strategies and meet financial targets. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Must have 15+ years of experience in the apparel industry and information technology. ATG/Oracle experience is a plus and omni-channel marketing experience is a must have. Demandware and APTOS experience is a plus. Thorough understanding of entire E-commerce processes from marketing to fulfillment. A detailed understanding and practical skills in managing Internet Marketing including SEM, SEO, affiliate management, commercial social networks, email marketing, SMS, and mobile display ads. Exceptional strategic thinking skills. Ability to negotiate. Operational/Function understanding of Internet technologies. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to manage a team as well as work independently. Outstanding organizational skills with attention to detail. Strong computer skills, including spreadsheet applications. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
