The VP, General Manager for Kelley Blue Book Dealer Solutions is responsible for leading and overseeing the Kelley Blue Book Dealer Solutions business. This business includes our Instant Cash Offer business (ICO) which is one of a very small number of Star businesses. This business also includes KBB Trusted Advisor, KBB Stand Alone Price Advisor, and other KBB lead generation products, currently in development. This position will create and execute, highly aggressive, growth oriented, annual business plans to achieve short and long range business goals, including 25%+ annual revenue growth, and will accomplish this with an organization made up of team members that are both direct reports and indirect reports (matrixed environment). The Instant Cash Offer Operations team will report directly to the General Manager. The General Manager will also lead a cross functional team that is dedicated to Kelley Blue Book Dealer Solutions.
This position is responsible for the future growth of the Kelley Blue Book Dealer Solutions business, including driving revenue and ensuring the execution of business goals in alignment with strategic priorities. This position will also act as a site leader for the Irvine location and team members, providing leadership and a focus on culture and engagement. Finally, this position must work in alignment with Company Leaders to ensure the success and sustainable profitable growth of certain strategic products beyond the Kelley Blue Book Dealer Solutions business. Design and implement an annual business plan to ensure the Kelley Blue Book Dealer Solutions business obtains its revenue, EBITDA and free cash flow objectives. This plan includes creation and management of strategic objectives, tactical plans, measurements, reporting and other managerial duties needed to ensure that Kelley Blue Book manages and prepares total financial and business results Review financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and make good and timely decisions that keep the business moving forward Direct and coordinate financial and budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments, and increase efficiency Develop a thorough knowledge of the Kelley Blue Book Dealer Solutions business and competitive activity, both nationally and at the local level, translating this knowledge into appropriate plans and programs Work closely with the Field Sales, Sales Operations, Product Management, Marketing, Finance and Strategic Growth teams to identify strategic/top revenue/share producing opportunities Develop and maintain close partnerships with the field sales leadership team to drive overall adoption and retention of Kelley Blue Book Dealer Solutions and optimize revenue. Provide leadership to create and sustain a growth oriented and accountability driven culture to drive business results Drive vision and purpose by communicating a compelling representation of the vision and strategy that motivates the team members to action. Lead town hall meetings for all team members on a regular cadence and frequently bring Irvine Leaders together to provide direction and remove obstacles to ensure consistent high- quality results are achieved. Work with each department leader to ensure objectives or needs are completed with predetermined metrics and objectives achieved Partner with People Strategies to ensure that all team members receive quarterly performance and annual compensation reviews. Promote the growth and development of leadership competencies of the management team to drive vision and purpose, build effective teams in order to plan, align and drive results. Provides leadership for employee relations through effective communications, coaching, training, and development Work with other Irvine leaders to communicate a clear vision and purpose for the Irvine office to better connect the Irvine office team with the business outcomes we expect them to create In partnership with the Life Coordinator, oversee the development and implementation of Irvine wellbeing and culture enhancing initiatives to drive engagement Business travel to communicate or participate in broader internal planning meetings or to visit other markets to assist in the creation of business growth strategies and plans Qualifications Bachelor degree in Business Management, Finance or related field; MBA preferred 12+ years’ experience in business management, operations and automotive industry 8+ years’ experience in a leadership role with a strong track record of effectively managing people at a senior level Strong written and verbal presentation, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills required Demonstrated track record of solid partnership with other business leaders, including effective business communication skills Demonstrated ability to work across a broad range of internal and external constituents and cultures Strategic mindset to anticipate future trends and implications accurately and articulate visions of possibilities that will create sustainable value High level of creativity and innovative approach to problem solving. Other duties as needed or required Requires physical ability and mental acuity to execute the duties of the position successfully within required timeframes in order to meet business requirements
