Overview Mgr, People Systems MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES The primary purpose and function of the Manager, People Systems is to act as the Workday SME to partner with various functional areas to provide HR system administration and support, provide user controls to maintain confidentiality, and strive for continuous improvement in how the day-to-day HRIS operations are executed. Leads a team of Analysts and Administrators to ensure day-to-day operations needs are met. This includes ensuring all employee information is accurate; team is supported and operates effectively. Serve as subject matter expert and a key resource of HR systems, deployment of new functionality, and partnering with HR functional areas on system related process work, and integration project work. Analyzes and synthesizes data from the HR systems and other available systems into business reports that can be distributed within HR as well as to the business leaders. Conduct regular audits of system security, access, permissions, and approvals. Identify areas of improvement and collaborate with People Services team and other departments and business units to ensure expert use and management of data. Supports and proactively improves reporting on a variety of complex reports or queries utilizing system and organizational tools and available technologies. Designs and configures dashboards for Managers and executive leadership. Maintain awareness of current trends in HR processes, learning modalities and systems with a focus on product and service development, delivery and support and applying key concepts/technologies. Examine trends in HRIS, training, materials and techniques. Identify efficiencies through automation in the areas of business processes, integrations, and data loads. Provide high level of analytical support on ad hoc projects or requests. Assist in the review, testing and implementation of HR system upgrades or patches. Collaborate with functional HR and cross functional teams to coordinate application of upgrade or fix. Maintain HR system tables (such as job code table, department table, process level table, position table). Document the process and results. Supervise People Systems Coordinators and manage day to day operations for the team. Facilitate system training and communication as needed. Partner with other team members to review training and change management needs with all projects.REQUIRED: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Human Resources, Information Systems or equivalent experience 5-7 years of experience in HRIS, including a system implementation. Minimum of 3-4 years managing a team Experience managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience in creating moderate to complex HR reports and metrics Strong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting abilities; strong data analysis acumen and focus on accuracy and attention to detail. Solid understanding of overall HR functional areas and HR business processes, as well as interdependencies with Payroll, IT, and Finance.PREFERRED: Experience in a multi-regional healthcare, retail, or dental company. 3+ years of experience working with Workday (HCM, Benefits, Compensation, Payroll). Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: Strong abilities in managing the daily operations of department(s) or work unit while developing short to medium term (1-3 years) goals. Fostering employee development by providing a supportive learning environment. Highly developed teambuilding, influencing, and collaboration skills. Ability to direct the work of others and work as a team leader in attainment of goals. Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures. Ability to handle and maintain extreme confidentially with employee records, compensation information, etc. Ability to draw valid conclusions; apply sound judgment in making decisions, and make decisions under pressure.
